FORMAL LETTER: EXAMPLES (2º ESO ENGLISH)



Good morning, dear students...
 Como la tarea de la carta formal es compleja, os paso un ejemplo directo de la tarea del libro. 
 

Os escribo también la traducción de la carta, puesto que requiere 
siempre mucha formalidad incluso en español. 

High Risk skaters Association.
La Asunción High School, Cáceres.

A quien concierna/ Excmo. Sr. Alcalde/...:

Soy un alumno del colegio La Asunción de Cáceres y represento al más importante grupo de skaters de nuestra ciudad, llamados “Alto Riesgo”. Les escribo por nuestra preocupación concerniente a la decisión del ayuntamiento de construir una autopista en el actual área del parque del Príncipe. 

En nuestra opinión, esta es una mala decisión no solo para nuestro grupo de skaters, sino para toda aquella gente que disfruta haciendo deporte al aire libre, o simplemente da un paseo por las zonas verdes de la ciudad. Para nosotros, la situación es peor, puesto que la única pista de skate disponible en la ciudad está allí. Por consiguiente, solicitamos al ayuntamiento que reconsidere en torno a la ubicación de la nueva autopista. 

Hemos decidido pasar a la acción, y vamos a organizar una manifestación en la Plaza Mayor para el próximo fin de semana. También estamos preparando un informe sobre el impacto medioambiental de esta autopista en la ciudad, y lo enviaremos al ayuntamiento la próxima semana.

Y aquí os paso un ejemplo de carta redactada por el señor Carlos Balsera, muy bien hecha. No os agobiéis, porque es un estilo complicado, incluso en nuestra propia lengua, y no sé si habéis hecho esto en nuestro idioma alguna vez.
